Unai Emery takes
some stopping in the Europa League and his Arsenal side
sealed their place in this season's final with a win at the Mestalla over Valencia on Thursday, sending him to
his fourth in the competition that he won three times in a row with Sevilla.
Remarkably,
the progression means Emery has passed through 24 consecutive rounds of the
competition, combining his three final wins, his three group phases and the 18
knockout rounds he has passed through.
On Twitter, Fran Martinez pointed out that the
coach is already the record holder for final appearances, surpassing Giovanni Trapattoni and Sven-Goran Eriksson's
three.
Emery will be keen
to add a fourth title against Chelsea in
Baku on May 29.
