Flying Eagles player and defender Valentine
Ozornwafor is in talks with Galatasaray over a potential move to the Turkish
Super Lig champions.
Ozornwafor was a key performer for Nigeria at the 2019 U-20
Africa Cup of Nations in Niger earlier in the year, and was named in the team
of the tournament alongside captain of the team, Ikouwen Udoh.
The centre-back who is currently in the books of seven-time
Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Enyimba, earned his first
call-up to the Super Eagles for the dead rubber 2019 Africa Cup of Nations
qualifying match against Seychelles and the friendly encounter versus Egypt in
March, both in Asaba.
Ozornwafor however did not feature in any of
the two games as he was one of the four players sent on a rescue mission to the
U-23 side in the Olympics qualifier against Libya.
The 19-year- old, we gathered left the Flying Eagles camp in Inglodast,
Germany on Monday for Istanbul to hold talks with the Turkish giants.
He is second key member of the team set to link up with foreign
clubs with Udoh, who is also his teammate at Enyimba on the verge of securing a
move Maccabi Haifa of Isreal.
Super Eagles forward Henry Onyekuru is currently with
Galatasaray on loan from English Premier League outfit Everton.
