Morocco have lined up a friendly match against the Super Eagles
of Nigeria ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The friendly
encounter according to a report in Le360 will take place in France next month.
The Atlas Lions
are also expected to take on the Chipolopolo of Zambia in another build up game
before the start of Africa’s football showpiece event.
Morocco will face West African side, Cote d’Ivoire, South Africa
and Namibia in Group D at AFCON 2019.
It remains to be
seen how the modalities for the friendly game against the Super Eagles will be
worked out with the West Africans expected to set up final camp in Ismaila
ahead of the competition.
Gernot Rohr’s
charges will open camp for AFCON 2019 preparation in Asaba, capital of Delta
State on June 2nd.
The three-time
African champions will face the Warriors of Zimbabwe in their first friendly
match on June 8 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
Another friendly
encounter against the Terangha Lions of Senegal will take place on June 16.
At AFCON 2019,
the Super Eagles will take on Burundi on 22nd June, tackle Guinea on 26th June
and confront Madagascar on 30th June in Egypt.
