Football Club from Ijebu Ode have emerged Champions of 2019 Ogun State FA Cup.
The team defeated Gateway
United Football Club three goals to two on penalties after the match played at
the MKO International Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta ended goalless.
The two team struggled to
convert their chances in the regulated time resulting to penalty shootout after
regulation time.
Gateway
United again lost as they regroup as they play their second of three games in a
week when they host Nnewi United in match day three of the Nigeria National
League, (NNL) at MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, on Wednesday.
The
match ended 2-3 in favour of Nnewi United who scored first in the game, Gateway
United scored an equalizer and went ahead in the game to make it 2-1. But Nnewi
United scored 2 goals in the second half of the game to make it an away win for
the Nnewi side in the lower tier of Nigerian football.
