MRI Disqualifies Five U17 Players

Five key players from Nigeria’s U17 team have been ejected as an MRI test revealed that they are older than they claim to be, this is coming only a few days away from the U17 African Cup of Nations holding in Tanzania.

There are reports that the team were unable to undertake the test before the WAFU qualifying series, however, after the test that was conducted on Friday, 5 key players from the team that qualified the country for the African Youth Championship in Tanzania have been knocked out.

This is not the first time Nigerian players have been exposed for age cheating, in March a few players were sent out of the U23 team camp by NFF officials for the same reason.
