NPFL: MFM Extend Lead In Group A,  Pillars, Abia Warriors Record Away Win

MFM extended their lead at the top of the Nigeria Professional Football League Group A table to four points following a 1-1 draw against Katsina United at the Mohamammadu Dikko Stadium on Wednesday away from home.
Destiny Ashadi missed from the penalty spot in the 17th minute Kastina United’s chance to take the lead.
Chijoke Akuneto opened scoring for MFM a minute before half time with his superb shot flying past Dami Paul.
Martins Usule levelled scores for the hosts from close range 20 minutes from time.
The Olukoya Boys still maintains top spot in the table with 22 points from 11 games.

At the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi, Lobi Stars put their continental woes behind them to beat Rivers United 2-1.
Sikiru Alimi put Lobi Stars ahead on the stroke of half-time firing past Drissa Bamba after he was set up by Kelly Kester.
Micheal Stephen got the second in the 53rd minute nodding home Moses Bunde cross.

In Kaduna, Pillars recorded a 2-0 away win against Kada City with Adamu Hassan and Nyima Nwagua scoring both goals.

Samson Obi hit a brace for the visitors with David Uduak scoring the other goal from the spot a minute after the hour mark.
Philip Auta scored Yobe Desert Stars’ only goal of the game.
