The Pirates of Seychelles are expected fight for their national pride in
the dead rubber match of the 2019 AFCON qualifiers against the Super Eagles
tomorrow in Asaba, and one man has warned the Super Eagles to expect a surprise
from his team.
Likely to make the starting 11 for the Pirates in tomorrow’s
game, winger Darryl Damo has revealed that he and his team mates are battle
ready and will go all out against Nigeria at the Stephen Keshi stadium.
Speaking with a radio station in Nigeria, Damo also added
that coach Gernot Rohr and the Eagles should expect a surprise as he will leave
the Eagles to find out what they have in store for them come tomorrow
“Anything can happen in football, as long as you put your spirit
together and do whatever the coach asks you to do as well as what the team
management says……I can say anything can happen, its football, and who knows,
Nigeria might just be in for a big surprise, you never know, but I will leave
that for them to find out”
“Looking at the players faces as well as the understanding, they catch up very
quickly, and I believe that we can do it”.
Nigeria are gunning for their fourth win in the 2019 AFCON
qualifiers against Seychelles. Recall the reverse fixture ended on a sour note
for Seychelles who lost 3-0 at the Stade Linite, Victoria – with Odion Ighalo,
Ahmed Musa and Chidozie Awaziem getting on the score sheet.
