Malawi will host Morocco in a dead-rubber 2019 Africa Cup of
Nations qualifier at the Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre on Friday.
Kick-off is at 15h00 CAT.
The Atlas Lions have already booked their place at this
year's continental showpiece in Egypt, having successfully recovered from an
opening round defeat to initial AFCON hosts Cameroon two years ago.
Herve Renard's men sit two points clear of the Indomitable
Lions in Group B, heading into this weekend's round of fixtures, having sealed
their place at this year's tournament with a 2-0 win over the defending
champions late last year.
Hakim Ziyech bagged both goals in booking Morocco's AFCON
ticket in Casablanca and the Ajax Amsterdam midfielder was on target in the
reverse fixture against Malawi which the North African's won 3-0.
Mathamatically, Malawi have already been eliminated from
qualification following a four game winless run. The Flames sit bottom of the
group, a point behind Comoros.
Morocco have won the AFCON tournament on one occasion,
back in 1976 when the competition was hosted in Ethiopia.
